Making is a vehicle for innovation. New fabrication and rapid-prototyping tools and curriculum are changing the way schools teach, libraries create community, and young people prepare for a career. SIGGRAPH has always been at the crossroads of innovation by introducing new software, hardware, and research to the computer graphics, special effects, and technology-related fields. 

Now, Making @ SIGGAPH 2015 draws even more artists, scientists, engineers, teachers, and students by providing a venue for makers to share what they have learned and how they use their creativity, ingenuity, and critical thinking to inspire others. Students and educators showcase their projects in response to a Tinker. Make. Innovate. challenge that shows off inventions that could change the world.

Making@ SIGGRAPH 2015 provides a community for all those who seek to be inspired and those who want to inspire.

Student Innovation Showcase

The Student Innovation Showcase presents inventions by local Los Angeles and Orange County middle and high school students using 3D printers, electronics, laser cutters, and more. Students selected for this showcase are winners of the OC Maker Challenge, Milken's MIX, and Brentwood STEAM Day.
