To encourage students to participate in the SIGGRAPH conference, all volunteers are eligible to apply for Financial Assistance to help offset the cost of attendance.

All Team Leader and Student Volunteer applicants may apply.

Important Notes About Financial Awards

Please be advised that funds are limited, and financial assistance is not guaranteed. Furthermore, because funds are so limited, it is not possible to receive BOTH travel and housing assistance.

Travel assistance is only available to help offset travel costs. The full amount of your travel may not be covered. Students MUST meet their 25-hour commitment to the program in order to receive their travel awards.

Housing assistance will cover six nights of accommodations during the conference, with check-in on Saturday, 8 August 2015, and check-out the morning of Friday, 14 August 2015. Students with housing awards will share rooms and are responsible for incidentals. Students MUST meet their 25-hour commitment to the program in order to receive their housing awards.

All decisions are final.

Important Dates

10 February 2015: Application Deadline
Applicants must complete the standard Student Volunteer application plus several additional questions regarding travel costs and financial need, as outlined in the application. The application must be completed by 22:00 UTC/GMT. (Convert to your time zone.)

30 April - 30 May 2015: Financial Assistance Notifications Sent

Accepted applicants who applied for travel or housing assistance will receive notifications at the email address provided in the application. Please be advised that funds are limited, and financial assistance is not guaranteed. Please adjust your spam filter so that any messages from siggraph.org email addresses will not be placed in your junk-mail folder.

Travel Assistance

If you are selected to receive travel assistance, you MUST present proof of travel expenses (valid receipts, including boarding passes and/or gasoline receipts) at SIGGRAPH 2015.

Please be reminded that travel assistance is only available to help offset travel costs, so the full amount of your travel may not be covered. If the award is greater than your travel costs, you will only be awarded the amount spent on travel.

All travel awards will be distributed during SIGGRAPH 2015 and will be paid in United States dollars.

Housing Assistance

If you are selected to receive housing assistance, we will work with you directly to set up hotel reservations and roommates.
