Moving Around in Virtual Space With Spider Silk
With the recent advances of wearable I/O devices, VR systems are providing many different ways to explore virtual environments. Although head-mounted displays remain quite popular, moving around in VR is not as easy as looking around in a virtual space, mainly because position tracking is more complicated than orientation tracking with state-of-the-art technologies. This project provides first-person perspectives and superhuman experiences in 3D space. Users can jump high, glide off, fly with rope, teleport, and more without position-tracking technologies.
